Welcome

The oyster kids

The EYC Foundation was created in 1999 by a group of volunteers who wanted to give something back to their community by working with the young, the "at-risk", and the disadvantaged.

Our goals are simple and straight forward- to teach, provide opportunities, build skills, promote accomplishment, and nuture a sense of self-esteem and self-worth. To give hope for a better future than was ever expected.

Annapolis provides us with a unique venue to build programs based on our love of the Chesapeake Bay and the maritime activities it presents. Our programs now, and especially into the near future, will provide maritime vocational training, enivronmental awareness, environmental solutions, and a revitalization of the maritime economy of this area.

Please join with us- it's everyone's future.

As you review our past, current, and future programs consider what you could offer the young people of our community. Whether it's taking fifth grade students out on your boat to plant oyster spat in the Severn or helping organize a fund raiser, there are so many ways you can contribute. And when you contribute your time, effort, and special talents you'll gain an immense sense of satisfaction from helping the people who need our help the most.
